Lightning Flies Solo On WQLZ
Mid-West Family rocker WQLZ (97.7 QLZ Anything That Rocks)/Springfield, IL has announced several changes to its daily line-up — a revamp that beautifully benefits the active lifestyle (and body chemistry) of PD Wes Styles — it was two weeks ago when the station hired the awesomely named “Mo Lightning” to join Styles on the 3rd String Morning Show. Starting today, however, Señor Lightning will take solo command of the morning show, digital guru Kyle Hutchinson will move from afternoons to middays, and Styles will get to sleep in a tad longer as he returns to afternoon drive. Rounding out the line-up will be Harddrive XL with Lou Brutus from 7-midnight.
“The pieces are now in place to create a really well oiled, connected, LIVE AND LOCAL radio station in Springfield,” says Styles. “We now have the very animated Mo to handle mornings. His wit, on-air presence, and entertainment connections will offer something Springfield hasn’t heard before. Kyle will keep things rocking at work and I’ll be taking the wheel on the drive home. Because of all of this we can deliver a truly dynamic rock radio product for both the audience and our advertising partners.”
