ALT Enters Central PA

• iHeartMedia has expanded its “ALT” brand into the Allentown-Harrisburg, PA region, flipping WHKF (99.3 Kiss FM) from Top 40 to Alternative as ALT 99.3, Central PA’s Alternative Rock, featuring 99 minutes of commercial-free Alternative Rock three times every weekday.

“We’re thrilled to bring this exciting station to the listeners of Central PA,” said a visibly thrilled Jeff Hurley, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Allentown-Harrisburg Region. “There’s been a void in the market for Alternative Rock and the new ALT 99.3 fills that void, and provides three 99-minute commercial-free blocks of music every weekday!”

Mr. Hurley has graciously agreed to wake up ungodly early do the ALT morning show, followed by Wendy Rollins in middays, Klinger in afternoon drive and Samantha Kelly from 7-midnight.

WHKF is now directing Kiss fans over to No. 1-cuming Top 40 sister WLAN (FM97) in nearby Lancaster, where former Kiss afternoon drive talent Mike Miller is now doing weekends.
