Good Thoughts For Bean!
• We are transmitting our most positive sentiments directly to the GPS coordinates of Gene “Bean” Baxter, longtime co-host of the Kevin & Bean morning show on Entercom’s World Famous KROQ/Los Angeles, who is taking some time off from the show for medical reasons. That’s Baxter, right, with his partner Kevin Ryder.
No one from the station is thus far offering up any specific info about Bean’s hiatus, although the show did tweet this announcement on Wednesday, which read, “Many of you have noticed that Bean hasn’t been on the show for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, he’s taking a medical leave. We don’t have any more information, but we’ll let you know as soon as we can. We’re thinking of him, and wish him a full and speedy recovery.”
On Thursday morning, we were treated to a brief ray of social media sunshine, as Bean tweeted, “I am humbled by your well-wishes, thank you. Happy to announce I am still physically the healthiest man alive but am taking this time for mental health care. We’ll talk soon!”
