Radio Honors Mase Brazelle Tuesday
• The industry is still coming to terms with the tragic and untimely passing of Mason “Mase” Brazelle, PD/afternoon talent at WWCD (CD102.5)/Columbus, OH, who died on Saturday at the age of 53.
By way of paying tribute to their friend and fellow member of the Alt family — and seeing as how The Clash was Mase’s favorite band — a group of Mase’s peers — Michelle Rutkowski of WLUM (FM 102/1)/Milwaukee,Ross Mahoney of KXTE (X107.5)/Las Vegas, Matt Malone of WQMP (FM 101.9)/Orlando, Nik Rivers of WLKK (Alternative Buffalo)/Buffalo, NY, Phil Kukawinski of WGHL (ALT 105.1)/Louisville, and Jeff Morad of WEQX/Manchester, VT-Albany, NY, along with other influential outlets WWDC (DC101)/Washington, KQGO (Go 96.3)/Minneapolis, WLZX/Springfield, MA, Mase’s former longtime radio home, WKZQ/Myrtle Beach, SC, and Music Choice Alt, are all planning to play “This Is Radio Clash” Tuesday night at 6pm ET.
