• San Diego’s iconic Alternative XTRA (91X) surprised and delighted the crap out of its listeners over the weekend by announcing an unexpected listener bonus — a second 91X Wrex the Halls holiday concert! This new one stars Rise Against, Run the Jewels, The Used, The Struts, Highly Suspect and Buckfast Superbee.
This second show is happening Friday, December 8 at Valley View Casino Center, the night prior to the station’s previously-announced Wrex the Halls concert on Saturday with The Lumineers, Vance Joy, DREAMCAR, The War on Drugs and Arkells. “I’m pretty sure Santa read my mind: Wrex the Halls is now TWO epic nights of music!” said Hilary Chambers, 91X MD/midday personality, adding, “Don’t make me pick a favorite… I can’t wait for both!”
An exclusive pre-sale for 91X listeners is now underway using a special pre-sale code. Tickets to Wrex the Halls Friday night go on-sale to the general public tomorrow at 11am at AXS.com and without service fees at the Valley View Casino Center box office. Wrex the Halls is produced by 91X and Goldenvoice.
• Entercom Country WLFP (94.1 The Wolf)/Memphis presents its first-ever Acoustic Christmas show featuring Lauren Alaina, Chase Bryant and Walker Hayes. This special show is scheduled for Wednesday, November 29 at The Bluff in Memphis.
