Andrews Extended In Beer City
• Congratulations are most certainly in order for Brett Andrews, PD and morning delight on iHeartMedia Classic Hits WRIT (BIG 95.7)/Milwaukee, who has put his signature (in ink, no less) on what appear to be legally binding documents that will formally extend his existing tenure with the company.
During this “casual Friday”-themed signing ceremony, Andrews (center) is lovingly bracketed by Milwaukee SVP of Programming Kerry Wolfe and Market President Colleen Valkoun.
In a follow-up Facebook post, Andrews exclaimed, “Thrilled to announce today that I’ve signed a multi-year contract extension to continue as Director of Programming and morning show host at 95.7 BIG FM as well as continuing my national shows on iHeartRadio stations all over the country. I’m humbled and honored to get to do what I love every day, I don’t take it for granted for a moment! Sorry to Colleen Fossum Valkoun and Kerry Wolfe who have to continue to put up with me! #Radio #iHeartLife.”
Andrews has been in the building since Jan. 2015, when he transferred from the PD post at Top 40 sister KSLZ (Z107-7) & Rhythmic KBWX (WiLD 104-9)/St. Louis. Prior to his two-year St. Louis run, Andrews was in Portland programming Top 40 KKRZ and Rhythmic KXJM. Andrews began his radio career 2001 doing weekends at WVBO/Oshkosh, WI. He later did afternoons at KFRX/Lincoln, NE, programmed KZCH/Wichita, did afternoons at KVEG (Hot 97-5)/Las Vegas and enjoyed a earlier Milwaukee run doing nights at Entercom Top 40 WXSS (103.7 Kiss FM).
