Tornado Can’t Keep The Fox Down

• We are happy to report that iHeartMedia Classic Rock KKRQ (100.7 The Fox)/Iowa City-Cedar Rapids, IA is now back on-air and proudly serving the citizens of Iowa City, Coralville, and Cedar Rapids. The Fox, local home of The Bob & Tom Show and Hawkeye Football, has been off the air — streaming digitally only — since the Eastern Iowa area was hit by devastating tornados in late March, and the station’s 1,000-foot broadcast tower was destroyed by an EF-2 tornado that touched down near Solon, IA.

100.7 The Fox anticipates the main tower will be rebuilt and back to its full capacity by the end of the summer. In the meantime, listeners can also continue to stream 100.7 The Fox using the iHeartRadio app. [Thanks to PD Mark Manuel]
