A Flood Of Good Will
Thousands of St. Louis area residents are still recovering from the recent, historic flooding that ravaged the area, and many continue to need assistance. In order to help out their neighbors in need, Hubbard Radio Country WIL (New Country 92.3) and the St. Louis Cardinals have teamed up to present the Flood Relief Benefit Concert on Memorial Day at Busch Stadium. Prior to the Cardinals/Dodgers game on Monday, May 29, rising Country stars (and local guys) Trent Tomlinson and Drew Baldridge will perform, and Missourian Tyler Farr will throw out the first pitch!
Tickets for the Flood Relief Benefit Concert are only $9.23, with 100% of the proceeds from the first 1,000 tickets sold going to the Salvation Army, which is supplying everything from food to furniture to flood victims. The St. Louis Cardinals will match that total, also to benefit the Salvation Army. That $9.23 ticket includes access to the pre-game concert in the Riverview Corner at Busch Stadium starting at 11:30am, along with a seat to watch the Cardinals take on the Dodgers at 1:15pm.
WIL PD Scott Roddy commented, “New Country 92.3 is the ONLY Live and Local NEW Country station in St. Louis. We live HERE and care about OUR friends and neighbors. I’m immensely proud of the on-air ‘home team’ for all their coverage on air, online and on Facebook. More than 450,000 watched the coverage on Facebook Live. This was a devastating flood for so many, and the least we can do is spread the word about ongoing flood relief effort. We are honored to be working with the legendary St. Louis Cardinals.” Tickets for the Flood Relief Benefit Concert are on sale now at newcountry923.fm.
