Bud & Broadway In Transition
• UPDATED: Changes are afoot inside the syndicated Bud and Broadway Show — RAMP has confirmed that Victor Ward, who had been playing the on-air role of “Bud Ford,” is leaving the show and will announce his plans shortly.
Longtime B&B lead Jerry Broadway (right) will continue to host the St. Louis-based show, alongside ensemble cast members Tim Wall and Becca Walls.
The Bud and Broadway Show enjoyed early success at WTVY/Dothan, AL, WKDF/Nashville, WTNR/Grand Rapids, MI and more recently, at iHeartMedia Country KTGX (Twister 106.1)/Tulsa, OK until March 2016, when they made the leap to Hubbard Radio’s 92.3 WIL/St. Louis. That run lasted until May 2020, when COVID-related issues adversely affecting the radio industry led to the show’s departure. Three months later, they were back on the air via a syndicated solution in the form of Houston-based SuiteRadio, led by longtime industry vets Pat Fant and Cruze. At press time, Bud & Broadway is carried in 20 markets.
RAMP caught up with Cruze, President & CEO of SuiteRadio, who commented, “We are absolutely thrilled with the show Jerry has built, and we are excited to be a part of the team that’s helping to take the Bud and Broadway Show to listeners all across America.” For more info about the Bud And Broadway Show, contact SuiteRadio’s Ed Moloney at ed@suiteradio.net or 310-283-9407.
