Condolences: Frank Mull

• The Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. (CRB) is deeply saddened by the passing of Frank Mull, who served as the organization’s first Executive Director from 1990 to 1993.

A respected industry leader, Mull played an instrumental role in shaping the Country Radio Seminar (CRS) during a critical period of growth and evolution for the organization. His steady leadership, passion for the format, and commitment to fostering collaboration among broadcasters, artists, and labels helped lay the foundation for CRS to become the industry’s premier gathering for education, networking, and innovation.

“The entire CRB family is saddened to hear of Frank Mull’s recent passing,” RJ Curtis, current CRB/CRS Executive Director. “Frank was the organization’s first Executive Director, serving in that role until 1993. During his tenure, he helped guide CRS’s growth from an intimate gathering of radio and label professionals to its eventual annual participation by more than 3,000 diverse Country music stakeholders, making it the premier music industry event it is today. Every subsequent Executive Director has stood on the shoulders of Frank Mull. On behalf of our organization’s staff and board members, we send our deepest condolences to Frank’s friends and family members.”

Known for his professionalism, foresight, and ability to bring people together in pursuit of a shared mission, Mull had an accomplished career in broadcasting and management prior to his time with CRB. His contributions to the Country radio community extended far beyond his years of service, influencing generations of broadcasters and industry professionals who followed. Mull’s impact on the organization and on Country radio as a whole is immeasurable. His legacy lives on through the growth, unity, and enduring success of CRS.
