‘Morning Bullpen’ Exits KILT-FM/Houston

• Pre-holiday budget cuts have come home to Audacy Country KILT (100.3 The Bull)/Houston, which has parted company with its long-running, award-winning Morning Bullpen show and cast members George Lindsey, Monica “Mo” Lunsford and Erik Scott Smith.

Lindsey and Lunsford both arrived in March 2015 — Lindsey from Alpha Media Hot AC WXMA/Louisville, where he spent 15 years as OM/PD/mornings, and Lunsford from the morning co-host spot at Alpha Media Country KUPL (98.7 The Bull)/Portland, OR.

The early incarnation of the show also included then-Bull night jock “Cowboy Dave” Bayless, who left in June 2021 and was replaced in October of that year by Erik Scott Smith, a 13-year veteran of Meruelo Media Classic Rock KLOS/Los Angeles as an air personality and Executive Producer of The Heidi & Frank Show.

The show was named CMA Major Market Personality of the Year in 2017 and 2023. No replacement show has yet been named.
