Simpson’s Promotion Is News
• Scripps Country KTTS/Springfield/MO welcomes a new morning co-host on Monday, May 7, and fortunately for everyone involved, there won’t be any awkward “get-to-know you” phase — after 20 years with KTTS News, award-winning newscaster Nancy Simpson will now co-pilot the morning show, teaming up with Cash Williams and replacing Summer Stevens, who left in February.
Simpson commented, “I felt that a change might be good for my soul, but I really love it here at KTTS. This is my work family. With this move into the morning show, I get to show the lighter side of my personality, but still be at home.”
KTTS VP/GM Rex Hansen commented, “It’s rare to have a true news professional like Nancy grow even more inside a radio station. Our listeners know and trust Nancy Simpson and they’re about to discover she’s a huge Country music fan, just like they are!” PD Mark Grantin said, “I’m thrilled Nancy Simpson will be joining the KTTS Morning Show! Nancy is a mom, loves Country music, and grew up in this area. Cash and Nancy will be dynamite together!”
KTTS News Director Don Louzader, who anchors the KTTS Morning News, said, “Nancy is a master storyteller who connects with her audience in a meaningful way. I’m so excited for her to join the KTTS Morning Show and take that relationship to a whole new level.”
