Boise Wakes Up With Joey & Lauren
• Impact Radio Group of Boise, ID today launches a brand-new morning show on Hot AC KZMG (MY 102.7)— the married duo of Joey and Lauren Jenkins will host Joey and Lauren in the Morning, which debuts today at 6am.
Joey Jenkins is an 11-year radio vet who most recently co-hosted The Drive morning show across the hall on Impact Radio Group’s former ESPN affiliate KQBL HD-2, which last month flipped to Active Rock as “Pure Rock 99.1 I-Rock.” Lauren Jenkins is a radio newcomer.
James Garner, PD of MY 102.7 said, “After an extensive nationwide search for a quality morning show, my team and I found ourselves right back in the Treasure Valley with Joey and Lauren Jenkins. As a member of the Impact Radio team, I have not only the opportunity, but the mandate to innovate regarding programming decisions. The easiest option would have been to select a cookie-cutter ready-made program, but we decided to create a new show from the ground up with genuine personalities that our listeners can relate to. I’m excited to present this fun and unique local morning show to our listeners in the Treasure Valley.” Joey and Lauren in the Morning replaces the syndicated Johnjay & Rich.
