Mix Cares For Kids… A Lot
• Entercom Hot AC WWBX (Mix 104.1)/Boston just wrapped up its 15th Annual Mix Cares 4 Kids Radiothon and, judging by these wildly grinning mugs, the event went well, raising over $500,000!
As morning co-host Karson Tager explains to RAMP, “We made a lot of changes this year, downshifting from two days to just one and it was a huge success. We also moved the Radiothon from late summer to early spring so we hit our total with only a few months of planning and prep.” The results, as indicated by the giant cardboard check, speak for themselves.
Tager added, “The success of the Radiothon belongs to our family, staff and listeners who support these brave patients and their families. I honestly could not believe over HALF A MILLION DOLLARS was donated in just 14 hours! This year became much more personal for me as I found myself rushing my son to Children’s Hospital in the fall after a severe allergic reaction. Thankfully, the staff at the hospital treated him with the greatest care in the world and life is back to normal. Unfortunately not everyone has the same story or the financial means, which is why this fundraiser is so important to us. I can’t wait to see how we raise even more money next year!
