New Jersey Wakes Up With Lou & Shannon
• Townsquare Media Hot AC WJLK (94.3 The Point)/Monmouth-Ocean, NJ welcomes Jersey native Shannon Holly into the family as morning co-host alongside 18-year station vet Lou Russo, who broke the news of Holly’s debut live from the stage at the Basie Center’s historic Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre. Ms. Holly is a 20-year radio pro who previously hosted morning shows at at KSTP (KS95)/Minneapolis and WSTR (Star 94.1)/Atlanta and arrives toting a 2014 Marconi Award for Large Market Personality of the Year, so there’s that.
Russo said of his new partner, “She’s funny, she’s real and she’s a true pro. I’m looking forward to working with her and learning from her. We can’t wait to give the Jersey Shore the morning show they deserve. I couldn’t be more excited about having Shannon on the team!” An equally animated Holly exclaimed, “When something is a perfect fit you just know it.
