Celtics, Sports Hub Renew Vows
• The Boston Celtics announced a multi-year broadcast extension with Beasley Media Group’s WBZ-FM (98.5 The Sports Hub)/Boston. The station has been the official radio flagship of the Celtics since 2013.
“We’ve enjoyed a tremendous partnership with The Sports Hub,” said Rich Gotham, Celtics President. “The station’s talent and listeners share great enthusiasm for all things Celtics, and we hope to give them plenty more to be excited about in the coming years.” Mary Menna, VP/Market Manager of Beasley Media Group Boston, returned the compliment, commenting, “The entire 98.5 Sports Hub Team is thrilled to be continuing this great partnership with the legendary Boston Celtics and are honored to be able to provide coverage of the exciting Celtics games, as well as pre and post-game analysis to the Boston fans who bleed green.”
Sean Grande and Cedric Maxwell will continue to call play-by-play on the 98.5 Celtics Radio Network. Every Thursday at 9am during the season, 98.5 The Sports Hub welcomes Celtics GM & President of Operations Danny Ainge to the Toucher & Rich Show. Celtics Head Coach Brad Stevens joins Zolak & Bertrand on Wednesdays around noon, and Big Jim Murray and Chris Gasper from The Boston Globe host The Celtics Show Saturdays at noon.
