Condolences: Andrew Lee

• Andrew “Drew” Lee, co-host of the Justice & Drew morning show on iHeartMedia’s KTLK-AM (Twin Cities News-Talk AM 1130)/Minneapolis, died suddenly over the weekend, and his colleagues are still coming to terms with this awful news.

Lee’s co-host Jon Justice, who recently underwent open-heart surgery, broke the news of his best friend’s passing from his hospital room. His voice breaking, Justice said, “This is the hardest thing that I have ever had to do in my entire radio career.” He added, “I don’t need to tell you how special he was. It goes without saying that I am devastated and he will be tragically missed.”

A post on KTLK’s website reads, “It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we have been informed of the passing of our friend and colleague Andrew Lee on Saturday, June 25th. Join us at Twin Cities News Talk and iHeartMedia Minneapolis as we lift up Drew’s wife and two children with our thoughts and prayers.”
