Condolences: The Score’s Terry Boers

The news of Boer’s passing was shared via The Score’s social media, which stated, “It’s with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that the great Terry Boers passed away today. He was a one-of-a-kind Score original who we’ll remember forever. We love you, Terry. RIP.”
Mitch Rosen, VP of Sports Programming, Audacy Chicago shared his thoughts online, commenting, “The Score lost one of our own today. Terry Boers passed away today surrounded by loved ones. Terry was one of the founding fathers of The Score and one of the most popular people on the air and in The Score hallways. Terry retired in 2017, but he remained part of The Score family forever. He frequently appeared on the station, and many of us had the pleasure of having dinner annually. Terry was original, funny, smart, witty and most importantly a beautiful person.”
Rosen added, “Terry’s family’s wish is there won’t be a funeral, but The Score will celebrate his life on the air next week. So today and forever, RIP Terry Boers.”
The Score will remember Boers on Tuesday with special programming from noon to 7pm CT. “We’ll celebrate Terry’s life and legacy by sharing our favorite memories and moments. Former co-workers and former Score personalities will join us to reflect, with @MattSpiegs hosting.”
In the meantime, The Score’s social media feed is rapidly filling up with remembrances from Boer’s longtime fans and colleagues.
