Jox 94.5 Welcomes New Morning Jox
• Cumulus Sports-Talk WJOX (Jox 94.5)/Birmingham, AL announced a new morning show to be hosted by two Alabama gridiron greats — Greg McElroy, former Alabama quarterback and ESPN college football color commentator, and Cole Cubelic, former Auburn University offensive lineman and captain and sports analyst on SEC Network and ESPN. The new show will debut on July 12 and air weekdays from 7-10am ET.
McElroy (left) led the University of Alabama to the 2010 BCS National Championship, won an SEC Championship, was an MVP in 2009 and drafted by the New York Jets in 2011. He joined ESPN in 2014 as a college football analyst. Cubelic (right) is a 2001 graduate of Auburn University who joined SEC Saturday Night in 2017 as a sideline reporter, alongside Jordan Rodgers and Tom Hart. Cubelic joined WJOX-FM in 2018 as a co-host of 3 Man Front, weekdays from 10am-noon.
Jox 94.5 APD Pat Smith will also be a contributor to the new morning show. Smith is the creator of the nation’s No.1 college football radio/television program, Finebaum, hosted by Paul Finebaum and is also a popular play-by-play broadcaster for college and high school football. Smith will continue to co-host 3 Man Front with Cubelic and Landrum Roberts. Damian Mitchell rounds out the team from behind the glass as Producer.
