Roland Martin Joins iHeart’s BIN
• Journalist Roland Martin has joined iHeartMedia’s recently launched BIN: Black Information Network as a commentator. BIN is a 24/7 comprehensive national audio news service dedicated to providing an objective, accurate and trusted source of continual news coverage with a Black voice and perspective.
Martin will exclusively create custom commentary segments to broadcast daily throughout BIN’s 24-hour news cycle. “When we launched BIN: Black Information Network, we knew how extremely important it was to provide a forum for trusted voices within the Black Community and there’s perhaps no one more trusted and reliable in Black media today than Roland Martin,” said Tanita Myers, Director of News Operations for BIN: Black Information Network. “He has built a legacy that has paved the way for other Black journalists and continues to use his platform to bring a much needed perspective on topics that matter to both Black Americans and the nation in general.”
Martin currently serves as the host and Managing Editor of #RolandMartinUnfiltered, a daily digital show now available on the iHeartPodcast Network. “I’m excited to provide daily commentaries to BIN,” Martin said. “We are living in a time where we need more coverage about the issues facing African Americans. In addition, I’m really thrilled to partner with the iHeartPodcast Network to distribute and market the #RolandMartinUnfiltered audio podcast. We have seen tremendous growth with the daily video show, and we can’t wait to do the same with the audio podcast.”
