Voice Of The Saints Retires

• The City of New Orleans and its citizens are paying tribute to one of their own — Jim “Hondo” Henderson, a.k.a. The Voice Of The Saints” since 1986, who yesterday announced his retirement from Entercom’s WWL/New Orleans.

In a statement, Chris Wegmann, SVP/Market Manager of Entercom New Orleans said of Henderson, “Jim has been a beloved member of our team at WWL in New Orleans for many years. He made a very complex job look easy and raised the bar for sportscasters everywhere. I speak on behalf of the entire WWL family when I say we will miss Jim dearly, as will all New Orleans Saints fans across the Gulf South and throughout the country. We wish him the absolute best on his next chapter.”
