Lucky To Be Alive

We are please to report that Cooper Lawrence and Anthony Michaels of The Cooper Lawrence Show on Cox Media Group Top 40 WBLI/Nassau-Suffolk are feeling much better a week after they were involved in a serious car accident last Wednesday morning. The incident occurred in the pre-dawn hours of June 28 when Lawrence and Michaels (shown here in happier times) were on their way into work. Another driver ran a red light, broadsiding Michaels’ car and sending it onto an embankment.

Michaels had to be cut out of the car by the Jaws of Life, his car totaled. Both he and Lawrence were transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Good Samaritan Hospital on Long Island. Remarkably, Lawrence and Michaels walked away from the incident after sustaining only minor injuries and they were back on the air live last Friday morning. As Michaels later told RAMP, “Being cut out of my car is not a recommended way to get a day off of work!” A dash-cam video of the accident is posted online.
