Remembering Mitch Faulkner
• We were saddened on Monday to hear of the passing of veteran broadcaster, imaging/voiceover legend and Georgia Radio Hall of Famer Mitch Faulkner, who died Monday, June 27 at the age of 64.
Faulkner, who operated The Mitch Faulkner Group (MFG), spent most of his four-decade radio and voiceover career in the Atlanta market, working at WIGO-AM, WVEE (V-103) and WALR (Kiss 104.1). In early 2018 Faulkner joined Radio One’s newly launched Classix 102.9/Atlanta as the local producer of the Tom Joyner Morning Show and host of his own highly rated Classic RnB Show on Saturday nights. More recently Faulkner had done afternoons on internet streaming station 106LiveRadio.com. Faulkner was a 2018 inductee into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame.
