WBOS/Boston Flips To Classic Rock

• Beasley Media Group has flipped WBOS (ALT 92.9)/Boston from Alternative to Classic Rock, now rebranded as “Boston’s New ROCK 92.9… The Next Generation of Classic Rock.” The new format debuted Thursday morning at 10:30 ET following the Dave & Chuck the Freak Morning Show and promises to play cool stuff by Guns & Roses, Pearl Jam, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Nirvana, Ozzy, Bon Jovi, Green Day, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, Stone Temple Pilots, Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc.

Explaining the musical shift, Cadillac Jack, Director of Programming at Beasley Media Group Boston, said, “With Dave and Chuck the Freak already established as the premier morning show for the next generation of Boston rockers, this musical adjustment better aligns our overall product, and positions the new ROCK 92.9 to make deep footprints in Boston, both now and well into the future.”
