Doug Podell Exits WCSX/Detroit
• RAMP has confirmed that longtime Motor City radio fixture Doug Podell has exited afternoon drive at Beasley Classic Rock WCSX/Detroit. In a statement, Beasley VP of Corporate Communications Heidi Raphael said, “Doug Podell has departed WCSX-FM and Beasley Media Group in Detroit. Doug spent the past 23 years rockin’ the Motor City with WRIF and WCSX.”
On the heels of Podell’s departure, WCSX night jock Dave Dahmer has moved up into afternoons and PD Jerry “JT” Tarrants is now handling nights.
