Free Agents: Jeff Miles & Rebekah Black

• RAMP has confirmed that the Miles In The Morning show (Jeff Miles and co-host Rebekah Black) has exited Audacy Classic Hits 98.7 KLUV/Dallas after nearly four years. We are told that Producer Alex Luckey remains with the station.

For his part, Miles posted a brief and heartfelt video to his Facebook page where he broke the news of his departure to his audience, saying, in part, “These things happen in our industry… sometimes the combination of a show and a radio station don’t necessarily come together the way you hope or the way you think it’s going to, and unfortunately, that is what happened with our show and KLUV.”

Miles also took the time to thank KLUV PD Jay Cresswell and Market Manager Brian Purdy, noting, “They took a chance on what we were doing, and I’m really thankful for that chance.”

Major market veteran Miles had been in place since September 2018. His resume also includes morning stints at WKLB/Boston and KCYY/San Antonio, and middays at WWWQ/Atlanta and the late WPLJ/New York. Miles can be reached at 469-667-3890 or radiojeff@me.com. Contact Rebekah Black at Rkblack12@gmail.com.
