Gustav On The Loose
• More changes have come to Entercom Alternative KNRK (94/7)/Portland, as another longtime staffer has exited — the latest departure is afternoon drive talent Gustav, a 25-year station veteran who joined KNRK just six weeks after its launch in the spring of 1995.
Gustav also mixed and produced the weekend mix show EDM/PDX, which ran for nearly seven years and he also served as Music Director of the HD2 station 94/7 Too, which focused on local bands in the Portland and Seattle areas.
Looking ahead, Gustav said, “With 25 years of experience under my belt, I am certainly on the lookout for my next opportunity.” Motivated potential employers are advised to avail yourselves of Gustav’s unique talents, ASAP — reach him at gustav@iinet.com.
• Gustav’s exit marks the latest major personnel departure at the venerable Portland Alt outlet: longtime 94/7 morning host Greg Glover, midday personality Pepper and evening talent Derric Tanner recently exited during the companywide realignment of Alternative and Country, and longtime PD Mark Hamilton was relieved of his oversight of the station and is now focused on Adult Hits clustermate KYCH (97.1 Charlie).
