KLOS Shortens Part-Timer Bench

• Meruelo Media Classic Rock KLOS/Los Angeles has parted company with most of its part-time on-air staff, which included two prominent former KLOS PDs — Rita Wilde and Ken Anthony.

Ms. Wilde (left) famously spent 25 years at KLOS, starting in 1983, eventually rising to PD. In May 2011 she joined crosstown Entercom Classic Rock KSWD (100.3 The Sound) to do nights and stayed there until the station sadly signed off when it was sold to EMF in Nov. 2017. She later rejoined KLOS for part-time. Our pal Ken Anthony (right), our former colleague at R&R (and currently the Rock Editor at All Access) programmed KLOS back in the early ’90s… when he was sporting that sweet period-correct mustache. Also out: V/O talent Frankie DiVita and board op Mike Vogel, another of our former R&R colleagues.

We understand that the only remaining part-timer is Jim “JD” Daniels, who will retain his Sunday sports show. Reach Rita Wilde at ritawilde@me.com; Ken Anthony can be contacted at kanthony@allaccess.com; find Frankie DiVita at frankie@frankiedivita.com and Mike Vogel is reachable at michael@vogelism.com.
