Lexi & Banks Ride Again In SLC
• Popular Salt Lake City radio personalities Lexi and Banks have been tapped as the co-hosts of a brand new morning show on Cumulus Country KUBL (K-Bull 93), starting Wednesday, March 21 and airing weekdays from 5:30-10am. Lexi Papadapoulos and Jared “Banks” Danielson previously did mornings at Broadway Media Top 40 KUDD (Mix 105.1) from 2012-2016. Danielson most recently programmed Broadway Media Country KEGA (101.5 The Eagle) until May 2017, and he’s also worked at KZHT/SLC and WFLZ/Tampa.
Patrick Reedy, RVP/Market Manager of Cumulus Salt Lake City, said, “With over five years of entertaining SLC under their belt we’re confident that Lexi and Banks will hit the ground running, with a fun, fast-paced, entertaining show that’s sure to put a smile on listeners’ faces.” Travis Moon, PD of KUBL commented, “I am beyond pumped to have Lexi and Banks joining the Bull. They are fun, engaging, and exciting. I can’t wait for our listeners to experience their awesome chemistry, and make them a part of their everyday life. This is going to be fun.”
Lexi said, “I’m super excited to be back on the air every morning with my best friend doing what I love — laughing and making you laugh.” Banks added, “I feel incredibly blessed for this opportunity! K-Bull 93 is a fantastic station with great heritage. The SLC market really showed they liked what Lexi and I were doing on the radio and we are excited to continue that success on the Bull. A massive thank you to Patrick, Chris and Travis for making it happen.”
• Lexi and Banks replace 17-year market vets Tommy and Joe Johnson, who exit after three years, wrapping up their second tour of duty at K-Bull. The guys previously spent 14 years in mornings on K-Bull until 2011, followed by four years at former CBS Radio Country KMPS/Seattle. Johnson and Johnson are now looking for their next opportunity — anywhere — and in any format! Reach out today to tommyjohnsonmail@gmail.com.
