Meruelo Furloughs Now Layoffs

• In late March we initially reported that Meruelo Media had temporarily furloughed a number of high profile staffers due to COVID-19 budget cuts, including Frosty Stilwell, the longtime co-host of the Frosty, Heidi & Frank morning show on Classic Rock KLOS/Angeles.

We understand that Stilwell’s furlough has now been deemed permanent, as evidenced by the show’s newly updated “Heidi & Frank” logo.

And there’s more — RAMP has learned that several other furloughed KLOS staffers — longtime afternoon personality Gary Moore and part-time personalities Frazer Smith and Jim “JD” Daniels have also been permanently benched.

In a Facebook post, Stilwell confirmed his departure, posting, in part, “Yes, it is true. Sadly, management at KLOS has terminated me and I am no longer on the show. It is now the Heidi & Frank Show, and I hope you will continue to give them your support. Don’t blame them, they had no say in this. Some of my best friends are in that room and I only wish everyone remaining on the show the best going forward.”
