Nickels On The Loose

• RAMP has confirmed that Ashley Nickels has exited as APD/MD and midday personality on Cumulus Hot AC WRQX (Mix 107.3)/Washington after four years. We expect PD Rob Roberts to formally announce a new midday personality at any moment.

Nickels originally joined then-Top 40 WRQX to do nights in July of 2014, hired away from nights at Entercom Top 40 KDND (107.9 The End)/Sacramento. In early 2016, when the station reverted to its former Hot AC direction and rebranded back to Mix 107.3 she was upped to middays and was promoted to MD. Last year she was awarded bonus APD stripes. Nickels’ first big radio break was doing nights on KLUC in her hometown of Las Vegas.
