Philly’s Marilyn Russell Available
• And the human fallout continues from Beasley’s recent acquisition of Greater Media — RAMP has learned that Marilyn Russell has exited as morning co-host on Adult Hits WBEN (95.7 Ben FM)/Philadelphia after nine years. The news was originally reported in by Philly.com and later confirmed by RAMP. Russell (pictured) joined Ben FM in September of 2007, but she’s been an on-air fixture in the market since the ’90s (starting at the late WDRE) and she later went on to co-host mornings on the late WPLY (Y100) with Preston Elliott and Steve Morrison. Russell later worked at Y100’s online remnant, Y-Rock. She had worked for Greater Media since 2003 when she joined Classic Rock WMGK. Russell can be reached at Marilynrussell957@gmail.com.
