Pros On The Loose: Maddie Reis

Maddie Reis has exited as morning host at Zelus Media Group Rhythmic Hot AC KMVA (Hot 97.5/103.9)/Phoenix after nearly a year on the job. In an Instagram post, Reis said she was laid off last Friday, “15 minutes after my show ended.”

Reis joined KMVA last October, coming off a stint as Executive Producer of The Morning Mess across the street at Audacy’s KALV (Live 101.5). She earlier served as EP for The Chet Buchanan Show on Audacy Top 40 KLUC/Las Vegas, where she honed her skills in show production and audience engagement. No stranger to big-city radio, Reis earlier worked in Boston as a producer on The TJ Show at former Audacy Top 40 WODS (103.3 AMP Radio), and interned at WEEI.

“I’m sad that it had to go, but so happy I had it for as long as I did,” Reis wrote. “Hosting my own SOLO morning show, in Phoenix, AZ, at 26 (now 27) is practically unheard of. I did my absolute best, and gave 100% of what I had to my show day in, and day out. I made so many connections, learned an EXTREME amount, and had FUN everyday with my listeners. No one can take that from me.” She added, “I wish my company didn’t have to make a financial decision like this, but as my favorite news reporter Bruce Almighty once said, ‘that’s the way the cookie crumbles.'”

Reis can now be reached at 401-649-0860 or Maddiereis@gmail.com, and she said her DMs are always open at @maddieinthemorningaz.
