Rat & Puff On The Loose
• The morning radio landscape in Detroit shifted perceptibly late last week as word got out that morning hosts Jeff “Rat” Daly & Josh “Puff” Foreman had left the building at Entercom Top 40 WDZH (98.7 AMP Radio). Daly & Foreman had been waking up the Motor City since November 2015. RAMP reached out to SVP/Market Manager Debbie Kenyon, who informed us that a new morning show will be announced on Monday with a June 18 start date.
Daly (left) and Foreman (right) are lifelong best friends who met at their sixth grade lunch table. No, seriously. They actually started their radio careers at WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia as interns/part-time talent (as “Ratboy & Staypuff“). After honing their craft, the guys later earned a transfer to sister WFLZ/Tampa, where they enjoyed a successful seven-year run in nights before making their triumphant return to WIOQ in February 2014, this time as the station’s afternoon duo.
