US99/Chicago Seeks New Morning Show

UPDATED: RAMP has confirmed a major morning show change at Entercom Country WUSN (US99)/Chicago — the now former Jason & Katie show has officially been disbanded — we are told that Jason Pullman‘s last day was today, and co-host Katie Bright also announced her departure after less than a year. Former cast member Erin Creedon remains aboard in the US99 programming department and Scotty Kay moved to afternoon drive in early May.

VP of Programming Todd Cavanah is now looking for a new wake-up show. In the interim, midday maestro Drew Walker is US99’s 7am-1pm air talent. Interested morning show candidates are urged to make their presence known to Cavanah at Todd.Cavanah@entercom.com or APD/MD Marci Braun at Marci.Braun@entercom.com.

> The Jason & Katie morning show was launched last July, succeeding Stylz & Roman. Jason Pullman (left) had spent the previous decade doing mornings on iHeartMedia Country WUBL (94.9 The Bull)/Atlanta. Before that he did afternoons at sister KYSR (ALT 98.7)/Los Angeles. “I want to thank the listeners of US99 here in Chicago,” said Pullman, who currently voices Country outlets WKHX/Atlanta, KPLX/Dallas and WKDF/Nashville. “They were so warm and welcoming, even more so in the middle of the pandemic while I was hosting the show from home over the last for 3 1/2 months. I have so much love & respect for everyone at US99. Both my program director (Kenny Jay) and station manager were terminated after my deal was signed, and, today, US99 wants to try something different. Lots of changes for this company locally, but I respect their desire to try something different.” Pullman can now be reached at pimpyourpromo@gmail.com or 310-739-7891.

> Katie Bright (left) joined US99 last July as well, coming off of a seven-year stint with Warner Music Nashville as Nat’l Director of Radio & Streaming Promotion. The move marked a return to US99 for Bright, who had previously worked there in sales.

Bright’s radio career began at WAXX/Eau Claire, WI and later, she was a member of the former House Foundation at WSIX/Nashville, helmed by the legendary Jerry House. Looking ahead, Bright can be contacted at 615-788-2203 or katiebright4@gmail.com.
