Wanna Wake Up With Shmonty?

• The sun has set on Shmonty In The Morning as Arizona Lotus Alternative KFMA (Rock 102.1)/Tucson apparently elects to “go in another direction,” resulting in the sudden availability of host Eric “Shmonty” Ashmont and Producer/sidekick “Beef Vegan,” a.k.a. Brad Pfirrman. No replacement show has been named.

Shmonty had been with KFMA since late 2014, having previously worked at KDKB/Phoenix, WCCC/Hartford, CT; Radio 2GB in Sydney, Australia and WRRV/Poughkeepsie, NY. You may recall that back in January of this year, Shmonty’s wife accepted a major employment opportunity in the Washington, DC area, and Arizona Lotus management agreed to allow Shmonty to continue to host the show remotely from his new home in Rockville, MD, while Beef Vegan held down the fort in Tucson. Looks like that arrangement is now null and void.
