Kelli Cluque Going Back To School
• After spending 20-plus years over several tours of duty at Anaheim Broadcasting’s KCAL (96-7 KCAL Rocks!)/San Bernardino, longtime APD/MD/midday personality Kelli Cluque announced she has accepted the position of Operations Manager for Cal State San Bernardino’s Coyote Radio. The good news is, she will continue to do a weekend shift on KCAL.
“While I am certainly sad to leave KCAL I’m excited too, to be in the position to lead college students and do it here at home in the Inland Empire,” said Cluque, who will also use this opportunity to complete her Master’s degree. “I wish nothing but the best of luck to my replacement… KCAL is a wonderful place to work!”
KCAL PD Daryl Norsell remarked, “On a personal note, I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am for Kelli. She has been an amazing air talent, friend, and confidant for more years than I can remember. I know she’ll be an awesome teacher and mentor to the next generation of radio talent. As a Program Director, I’m now faced with the challenge of trying to replace someone who has been the ‘rock’ of the station (pun intended) in the midday shift and has been instrumental in the great success we have been seeing over the last year after we shifted the station to a ’90s/2000s focus.”
