Logan’s Run Creates Opportunities
• A man known simply as Logan announced his resignation from afternoon drive at WBEB (101.1 MORE FM)/Philadelphia after 15 months in the chair. “My exciting new radio adventure will be announced soon,” he tells RAMP.
Logan (left) joined WBEB in March of 2016 after a two-year stint in Ft. Walton Beach, FL as PD of Cumulus AC WNCV (Coast 93.3) and News-Talk WFTW-AM. A longtime Philly radio fixture, Logan previously spent eight years as APD/MD/mornings at iHeartMedia’s WISX (Mix 106)/Philadelphia and four years before that with Top 40 sister WIOQ (Q102). Stand by for his official announcement.
• WBEB PD Chuck Knight broke the news of Logan’s departure in a staff memo, which read, “We have some exciting news — afternoon talent Logan is leaving Today’s 101.1 MORE-FM as he’s moving his family out of the market. Logan’s on vacation this week, so his last day was Friday. He’s been awesome and we hope he finds much happiness at his next stop.”
Knight continued, “We won’t miss a beat as (weekend/fill-in personality) Mark Shepperd (a.k.a. “Mr. Versatility”) becomes our interim afternoon talent while we conduct a quick search. Plus, almost unheard of these days, we have a second fulltime opening as we’re taking our Overnights back to a live-hosted show.” You heard the nice man — motivated radio professionals are urged to rush their resumes, show and production audio and related examples for these EOE positions to AirTalentOpening@MoreFMphilly.com.
