Love The Smell Of Crisco In The Morning
Hubbard Radio Hot AC KSTP (KS95)/Minneapolis is pleased to announce it has its new morning show all squared away — say good morning to Crisco, Dez and Ryan, all longtime station vets, now lovingly reassembled into a swell new wake-up weapon. The wheels of change in morning drive began to turn back in July, when Shannon Holly resigned from the now former Ryan, Shannon & Fish morning show and moved back home to the New York area. She’s currently doing weekends at CBS Radio’s WNEW (Fresh 102.7)/New York.
Last month, Fish left the station, creating a need to reinvent the show, as PD Leighton Peck explains to RAMP, using a dry-erase board and a Sharpie — “Crisco has been part of Twin Cities radio for almost 15 years, most recently as part of the highly successful Moon and Staci afternoon show in here at KS95. Dez has been at KS95 for about 17 years, most recently doing our midday show. Both Dez and Crisco are the types of talent that people want to meet and talk to, so it only made sense to put those two great talents on our morning show. They are all friends off the air, making the decision that much easier. For the last couple weeks we’ve had them together doing the morning show and it’s literally non-stop laughing among them. Ryan is the leader of the show and is extremely talented. He keeps the show moving forward, injecting his own entertaining personality.” Rudy remains on the morning show as Executive Producer, while former Asst. Producer Bangs moves to afternoons with Moon and Staci.
Concurrent with the launch of this new morning configuration, longtime KS95 fixture Darrin Stone is elevated from nights into middays, replacing Dez. “Darrin has always done a great job for us at night and sounds great in the workday so it made me really happy to bring him into the daylight,” Peck said. “We are so blessed to have an incredibly talented group of talent at KS95 allowing us to remain strong in whatever daypart they are in.” That talented group is now short one gifted evening entertainer — the position is now posted on KS95’s Careers page, and interested candidates are urged to email their best stuff to Jobs@KS95.com.
