Mornings Open At B96/Chicago
• One of the highest-profile gigs in Top 40 radio can soon be yours, as Audacy’s heritage Top 40 WBBM-FM (B96)/Chicago is actively searching for a new morning show. Gabe Ramirez and Nina Hajian had been hosting the show as a team since 2019, and Hajian left in August.
RAMP reached out to Regional VP of Programming Todd Cavanah, who explained the morning show situation, telling us, “Gabe is handing mornings solo on B96 and will remain on-air until we hire B96’s next morning show. Nina is no longer with us, but she is an exceptional talent and I’m certain that she will have many options to choose from.”
That being said, B96 has launched an intergalactic search for Top 40’s next superstar morning show. Cavanah said, “We don’t care where you work now — if you truly connect with your audience and are winning on every level, we want to hear from you! If your contract is up for renewal, we should talk before you sign anything!”
Cavanah added, “B96 and Audacy have the tools and passion to help you take your brand to the next level in Chicago. This is a very rare opening in a city that LOVES local radio. If you and your team are relatable and naturally funny, it’s time for us to talk!”
You heard the nice man — motivated major market morning show candidates are cordially invited to visit the Audacy Careers portal, study the details of this unique opportunity, and apply online (ID: 2021-2561). Audacy is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
