Tim Tuttle Exits Mornings On KKBQ/Houston

RAMP has confirmed that Tim Tuttle has exited his morning host position at Cox Media Group Country KKBQ (93Q)/Houston after 17 years. Co-hosts Erica Rico and Katelyn Maida remain aboard.

Tuttle broke the news of his departure In a Tuesday Facebook post that reads, in part, “Just got word that 93Q will not be renewing my contract and that today was my last show. I want to thank each and everyone of you that has listened to me do morning radio over the past 26 years in the great cities of Nashville, Daytona Beach, Knoxville, Tallahassee, Birmingham and Houston. If I made you laugh even one time, you have given me the opportunity to live a dream life all while providing food, clothing and shelter for me and my family. I can never repay you for that. Thank you to all the fantastic coworkers that I’ve had the great pleasure of working with since 1996. We have had some moments that will never be duplicated and that I will never forget.”

Tuttle and his former co-host Kevin Kline joined KKBQ in 2005 after co-hosting mornings together at WXSR/Tallahassee, FL and WRAX/Birmingham, AL. Kline announced his retirement in Dec. 2020. No other details are being offered by KKBQ management at this time. [Photo from Facebook]
