Tucson About To Wake Up Differently
Debbie Wagner, GM of Arizona Lotus Tucson, said, “The entire Arizona Lotus Family want to thank Greg and Mere for their many contributions to the continued success of 94.9MIXfm and Tucson radio over the years. We also want to recognize them for the positive impact they have made in our community through their numerous fundraising efforts including the Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon and Mix FM’s Holiday Harvest Food Drive. We will miss waking up to their fun and entertaining show and wish them all the best in their new life adventures.”
Curtis has been Mix’s morning anchor since 2007, after stops at KZPT/Tucson and WBMX & WODS/Boston. Dunkel joined the show in 2017 following stints at WTMX/Chicago, KSTP/Minneapolis, KQBT/Austin, KKFR/Phoenix, and KMGA/Albuquerque.
In closing, the duo said, “[OM/PD] Larry Mac saw our potential early on and gave us the chance to build a new show for Tucson. It’s been awesome ever since — laughing out loud with (and at) each other every morning has been a goal we both hoped for but never knew chemistry of this level could exist inside a radio studio. What a blast!”
• With the countdown clock now ticking loudly, Larry Mac has now issued a nationwide alert to find a worthy replacement, and is now accepting applications from QUALIFIED, EXPERIENCED individuals who are worthy enough to become the next 94.9MIXfm morning host.
