Caiaffa Joins Motown As SVP/Commercial Mkting
• Motown Records has appointed global music executive, Roberto Caiaffa as Senior Vice President of Commercial Marketing. In this new role, Caiaffa will work with label partners to guide strategy and execution across campaigns that drive commercial results.
The New York-based Caiaffa will report to Motown’s EVP & Chief Operating Officer, Alison Finley, who remarked, “Caiaffa is one of the most respected executives in our business. Working with emerging artists to superstars, he brings a wealth of experience and perspective to this role. In the constantly evolving landscape of commercial marketing Caiaffa is a key addition to the team. I’m thrilled to welcome him to Motown.”
Caiaffa segues from SoundCloud, where he most recently served as the Interim Head of Music. The move to Motown marks a return to Universal Music Group for Caiaffa, who started as a marketing assistant at Interscope Records and later transitioned to Def Jam Recordings, where he developed from Product Manager to SVP Of Marketing, along the way working with iconic hip hop & R&B acts including DMX, 2 Chainz, YG, Big Sean, Teyana Taylor, Dave East, August Alsina, Jadakiss, and Jhene Aiko, to name a few.
