Alaghehband Named VP/Nat’l Promo, Virgin Music Group
• Virgin Music Group announced the appointment of Sherry Alaghehband as Vice President of National Promotion. In this new role, Alaghehband will partner closely with the Virgin Music Group promotion team across all formats to support ongoing initiatives and campaigns for partners at radio.
The Seattle-based Alaghehband comes to Virgin Music Group from Young & Optimistic Records, the independent record label she co-launched as a partner in 2024. Prior to that, Alaghehband was VP of Promotion and Radio Marketing at Atlantic Records, and Regional Promotion Manager for Epic Records.
Alaghehband now reports to Marni Halpern, Senior Vice President of Promotion at Virgin Music Group, who remarked, “Sherry has strong radio relationships and many years of experience at both the regional and national level making her an excellent addition to the team. We can’t wait for her to get started as we continue to innovate on the radio front on behalf of our label partners and artists.”
