Apple Ups Bryan To Global Head/Country Music

• Congrats to Apple Music executive Michael Bryan on his elevation from Director of Editorial Operations & Audio Production to the far cooler sounding Global Head of Country Music.

Bryan shared his big news in a LinkedIn post, adding a few details about his lofty new position, noting, “I’ll also be responsible for supporting our Christian & Gospel teams as well as the artists who make Music City so special, no matter the Genre.”

Bryan joined Apple Music in August 2020 as Director of Apple Music Country Radio, coming off a three-year stint with CAA as an Agent in the company’s music department, also representing several radio personalities.

Leading up to his current career direction, Bryan brings with him two decades of radio programming experience, more recently as SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Nashville cluster, PD of Country WSIX (Big 98) and Executive PD of the syndicated Bobby Bones Show. Bryan arrived in Nashville in February 2012, transferring from iHeartMedia Orlando, where he spent five years as PD of Top 40 WXXL (XL106.7) and Digital PD for the cluster. Earlier in his career Bryan enjoyed two tours of duty with WNVZ (Z104)/Norfolk (one as PD); he was also APD of WEZB (B97)/New Orleans.

In closing, Bryan’s post said, “This is more than a job — it’s a chance to blend my Southern roots with a global vision, working with incredible colleagues to help tell stories that resonate with heart and truth. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work with the team to connect, create, and help support music that matters to people.” Your good wishes can be shared with Bryan at michaelbryan@apple.com.
