Atlantic Records Enjoying Life
Atlantic Records is riding a wave of momentum at radio right now — the label currently has the No. 1, 2 and 3 at Rhythmic radio — 1) Bruno Mars, “That’s What I Like,” 2) KYLE, “iSpy” and 3) Ed Sheeran, “Shape Of You.” At the same time, Atlantic maintains a lock on No. 1 and 2 at Top 40 with “Shape Of You” and “That’s What I Like.” Oh, and “Shape Of You” is also No. 1 at Hot AC while “That’s What I Like” is perched at No. 3.
More “Shape Of You” Fun Facts: the single just matched its 9th week at No. 1 at Top 40 and could tie the record for most weeks at No. 1 on Mediabase at Top 40 if it holds through Monday. “Shape Of You” has also spent eight weeks at No. 1 at Hot AC.
Ed Sheeran also holds both the both the spin record and audience record at Hot AC and at Top 40, and he continues his record-breaking streak with “Castle On The Hill,” which debuted at No. 30 at Top 40 this week and jumping 27-22 at Hot AC. Congrats to Andrea Ganis, John McMann, Jon Lewis, Deb Urbont, Dan Posner, Tim Dalbec and the entire Atlantic crew!
