Behind Every Successful Artist….
• After quietly creating a buzz as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, and generating 20 million-plus streams independently, Jake Wesley Rogers has been signed to Facet Records — the label founded by mega-songwriter Justin Tranter — in partnership with Warner Records. Tranter commented, “Jake is truly one of the most talented people I have ever, ever worked with. The songwriting, the vocals, the visual concepts, and the live performances are all at the highest level. Most importantly, the way that he lives his truth so poetically through his music makes me wish there was a superstar like him on the radio when I was young.”
Rogers shared his debut single and music video for “Middle of Love,” while Zane Lowe personally premiered the tune on his Apple Music 1 radio show, calling Rogers “wildly talented,” and describing “Middle of Love” as “a fantastic song, and “songwriting at its finest.”
Now, as a rule, we don’t normally cover artist signings in RAMP, but this one has a special radio connection to a longtime friend — the Kansas City-born Rogers is the son of a very proud radio mom — Valorie Knight, Operations Manager of Mid-West Family’s group in Springfield. MO. As Knight told RAMP, “I was blessed to spend my career in radio programming, where Jake literally grew up going to shows and meeting artists and it became a big influence for him. It’s been a fun ride so far, and I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes under with this amazing team at Facet Records with Justin Tranter and Warner Brothers. I’m not the official ‘momager’ anymore, but I will always be his biggest fan!”
