Big Machine/Varvatos Welcomes Allison Smith
• Allison Smith has joined Big Machine/John Varvatos Records as National Director, Promotion. The label was launched in 2017 and is spearheaded by Big Machine Label Group President, CEO and Founder Scott Borchetta and fashion mogul John Varvatos.
Based in Chicago, Smith (left) previously spent 13 years at Virgin/Capitol Records as Midwest Regional Director of Promotion. She has also worked at Lava Records and London-Sire.
“Allison is the perfect addition to the Big Machine/John Varvatos Records team as we build upon the success of Badflower, Pretty Vicious and the soon-to-be launched Friday Pilots Club,” said Mike Rittberg, Chief Marketing Officer of Big Machine Label Group.
