Boulos Stepping Away From Arista

RAMP has learned that John Boulos is leaving his position as Executive Vice President of Promotion for Arista Records, effective June 4. “We built a great new company and I have accomplished what I set out to do,” said Boulos (pictured here with the equally adorable Lucy), who joined the relaunched Arista in late 2018, coming off an 11-year run at Roadrunner/Atlantic Records, where he rose to Executive Vice President of Promotion.

Boulos’ lengthy music industry career also includes previous executive stints at Capitol Records, Warner Bros. Records, Epic Records, and Virgin Records. Earlier in his career Boulos did promotion at Mercury Records, Island Records, RCA Records, Inner City Records and Vanguard. Born and raised in New York, Boulos got his first music industry break working in the mailroom of London Records by day and promoting club DJs at night during the explosive dance era in the late ’70s.

Boulos will be taking the summer off and will announce his future plans this fall. After June 4, he can be reached at 917-539-6303 or jboulosmusic@gmail.com.
