CMG Elevates Ashworth To SVP/Streaming
• Jen Ashworth has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Commercial Marketing & Streaming for Capitol Music Group (CMG). In her elevated position, Ashworth will oversee the company’s streaming strategies across its portfolio of labels and extensive artist roster, focusing on editorial and partner activations with Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube and Pandora. She will continue to manage CMG’s relationship with Spotify as the company’s account lead.
Ashworth is based in the famous Capitol Tower in Hollywood and reports to Mike Sherwood, CMG’s EVP of Global Commercial Marketing & Strategy, who said, “Jen is a dynamic music executive with strong instincts and unparalleled relationships. Her passion for sharing & elevating our artists music worldwide is inspiring and I’m proud to work beside her every day.”
Ashworth had most recently served as CMG Vice President of Global Commercial Marketing since 2018. She began her career in 2008 as a marketing assistant at Epic Records in New York. Ashworth joined Capitol in 2013 as a Marketing Manager and was integral to the relaunch of Harvest Records. In 2016 she was promoted to Marketing Director and relocated to Los Angeles.
